“I was drawn to yoga at 17 seeking balance and inner calm. My first class was taught by my friend's grandmother in my hometown on the North West coast of Tasmania. Although I did not yet have a clear understanding of yoga, looking at my 70 year old teacher - a beaming light of health and happiness with a larger range of motion than I did - I knew yoga would become a part of my life. Jean is still an inspiration to me today.
Living in Sydney I experimented with different styles of Hatha Yoga before moving to London in 2012. It was here that the door opened to the spiritual aspects of yoga. After five years I put my fashion career on hold to undergo my 200hr teacher training in Bali with Shades of Yoga. Consolidating my knowledge and learning more about myself fed my desire to teach and share the awesomeness of yoga with others. I continue to enjoy the physical challenge and peaceful energy yoga brings to my life.”
