Alex Bormans

Alex’s journey as a yoga teacher is rooted in a deep, steady passion that began in 2018, when he first realised how profoundly yoga could shape both body and mind. What started as a personal exploration quickly grew into a disciplined commitment, culminating in his 200‑hour Yoga Teacher Training at InYoga in Sydney in 2023. Since then, he has become a familiar and trusted presence in the Lake Macquarie and Newcastle yoga communities, teaching with a blend of warmth, clarity, and grounded expertise.

His classes are known for their energetic yet soothing flow - sequences that invite students to move with intention, breathe with awareness, and discover the quiet steadiness that exists beneath life’s constant motion. Alex has a gift for creating space: space to explore, space to soften, and space to reconnect with the self. Through thoughtful cueing and a calm, encouraging presence, he guides students toward a practice that feels both empowering and restorative, helping them find balance in a world that rarely slows down.

Teaching has become an integral part of Alex’s own evolution. Each class deepens his understanding of yoga’s philosophy, anatomy, and transformative potential. He delights in sharing this path with others, supporting students at every stage of their journey. Registered with Yoga Australia, he continues to expand his knowledge through ongoing training and study, ensuring his teaching remains fresh, informed, and deeply aligned with the heart of yoga.
