The workshop is an experience of learning and breathing combined with elements of sound healing and community connections. It starts off with an introduction to breathwork and its place in the modern world, the history and application of different breathing techniques and plenty of storytelling and jokes of my own experiences in learning and teaching breathwork. Participants are invited to try a small series of breathing exercises and share their experiences before being guided through a 45 minute deep breathing session with live music and sound healing. Afterwards there is room for reflection and Q&A. Participants will receive access to a 7 day breathing program starting the day after the workshop, a bunch of follow up resources and we'll check in with them regularly via email following the event to offer support with integration and further learning.

This training will explore the merging of Yoga and Traditional Chinese Medicine into the blissful practise of Yin Yoga. Over this 5-day 50-hour Yin Yoga teacher training or immersion, you will slow down and break free of your normal routine to sit in a new way of beingness.
When things show up for us in our bodies, this is a sign to tune in and listen!. For many of us, we have been conditioned to react with frustration or anger and judge our experience. I'm going to invite you to see what presents with compassion and curiosity. If we close, we then shut down our Autonomic Nervous System Temporarily. Staying open and offering compassion to what shows up in the body is so powerful, we learn to tell our ANS that we are safe, and the body then loosens its grip allowing more movement, flow and prana.

“My family and I moved to Australia from South Africa in 2002. In 2012 we relocated to Newcastle from Brisbane. I was introduced my first 90-minute hot yoga class during that year and felt absolutely exhilarated. The Saturday morning yin class saved my sanity during a period of grief, teaching me the value of stillness and breath. I completed my yoga teacher training at YBW in 2016.
Ever wanted to fly high and defy gravity?

In this workshop, open to all levels, we will deconstruct and practise common arm balances, inversions and handstands.
