Chakra Meditation takes you on an extraordinary journey through the chakras, exploring your body's' subtle energy centres in the brain and spine that regulate the physical, emotional and psychic flows of energy through the body.
Chakras are energy centres in the spine. Chakra literally means 'circle of light’. Not only are chakras endowed with spiritual qualities, they can also store unresolved emotions.
It is said that the spine is the key to unlocking the unused parts of our brain; that through the chakras we can transcend the material plane of existence in order to access a higher spiritual world where our material bodies become active and begin to radiate and resonate light. These circles of light (Auras) are mentioned, not just in yogic records but also in the records of great saints and disciples from many of the world’s religions.
Spiritual energy is received through each of the chakras, each wheel of light receiving a different form of energy. It is therefore necessary to balance the activity of each of these chakras if we desire to live an open and harmonious life on all planes of existence - physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.
To create this state of balance we must first turn inward, listening, and becoming sensitive to these energy points along the spine.
